Descending Uruashraju
The crux on the route was a short steep, icy section, up to 60°, just above 5500m. The ice was rough, mostly hard frozen snow, and there were plenty of places to hook my ice tools, so it wasn't a difficult pitch, but falling was no option. To play it safe, Pierre has belayed me down to the small flat zone on the other side of the bergschrund at the bottom of the steep part.
