Desert Chicory (Rafinesquia neomexicana) on the approach to Pyramid Peak. Lake Mead Area, Nevada. March 2008. Desert Chicory can be found throughout the Mojave Desert in gravel and sandy areas from 200 to 3000 feet. It often grows in the shade of accompanying shrubs.
