Intense

I am a big fan of flowers with intense color - I think it is because I am partially color blind (some shades of red, green and brown all appear the same to me) and these sharp contrasts tend jump out and grab my attention a little better.

Colors

What colors jump out most for you? Do certain shades have more impact visually for you? Or does vividness/brightness arouse more sensory? Just curious....

Re: Colors

The magenta/purple really catches my eye. Intense blues, violets and purple seem to be resolved best by my brain. If it was an intense red on a green background I would hardly notice it. Contrast also helps. The yellow in the centre of the flowers appeals but only because it is next to the magenta and has texture. Yellow by itself would be okay but not really any more interesting than the yellow walls in my kitchen. Looking at the picture all I see is the magenta and the yellow. Intuitively I know there has to be green and other colours in the the picture - but I couldn't tell you what or where. I see the other shades kinda like somewhere between monochrome and colour.
