Desert Mtn "Splattski"

Holding the camera out as far I could, I snapped this unflattering shot of myself on top of Desert Mountain. The snow covered peaks in the background are those of the Mt. Nebo group. Today, this would be called a "Splattski" in honor of a fine Idaho gent who has been perfecting this summit pose. 4-29-09

Howdy Dean ..

What ever happened to your "hunters' orange"
cap? Are you saving it for October 2009 ??

Awesome view of the "Nebo Group." It looks
so spectacular this time of the year ! Wow..

Question: Have you ever (personally) visited the summit of Clipper Peak in the
amazing Oquirrhs? I heard there was a strange "triangler monument" up there; have
to check it out from Butterfield Pass sometime. Take care of yourself out there!

I haven't visited Clipper Peak but I'll add that to my list for next year. The orange hat is still alive and well. : )

Orange hats are a "hot" item at the hardware
store, along with red paint.
