Fun Scramble, Dull Trail  Sucess!

Fun easy scramble with a few Class 3+ moves on pretty stable rock. Enjoyed this section and the rest of the way to summit, otherwise just a walk on a heavily trafficked trail. Then off to Mummy!

More Than One

There is also another chute just to the left of this one (a very short distance along the trail) which is likely class 4 on good rock which also takes one up to the ridge above leading to Charleston.

Several times up/down  Sucess!

The first time I tried this was down climb. I didn't know the exact spot to descent but made it without using ropes. I scrambled down east face instead of standard north face.
East Face
I think north face route is easier up/down.
North Face

I don't remember how many times  Sucess!

Great route! More entertaining than the ever boring final set of North Loop switchbacks. We like to take this shortcut expecially during our three peak hike.
Enjoy my slideshow of one of our hikes of this type : Three Peak Hike ( Mummy- Charleston- Griffith)
