Southeast Face Variation  Sucess!

Climbed the SE Face via another couloir joining the South Ridge between the Woolley-Diadem col and the summit. I climbed with Rod Xuereb as a team, Ferenc Jasco and Dow Williams soloed ahead of us. We then climbed Woolley. Snow was a little soft, but overall conditions were good. Views of Mt. Alberta, North Twin, and Stutfield were spectacular. A very nice day!

Diadem & Woolley

David Mulligan, Terry Manning, John Duerden, and Jonathan Stanley climbed Woolley and Diadem from the bivy site below the glacier east of the two peaks. It was cold and windy, and seemed wintry because of the recent snowfall. The round trip took 11 hours.
