Summit #6 on this Trip
What a horrible short (40 minutes roundtrip) hike. No dogs cause the volcanic rock is really sharp. The views are not outstanding. Pretty much a waste of time.
Fun and scenic hike with Andy A. We left the trailhead at first light and summited in time to see the sun rise from on top. I was back to my motel room in time to still take advantage of the free breakfast.

Great views
Hiked after completing Pine Creek in Zion. It was a needed easy summit with excellent views.
Fun little hike. Even better because it is only four miles from my front door

My Dad, my brother Mark and his son Josh again joined Kessler, Kimberly, Shaylee, and I, and headed to the Snow Canyon area. First we climbed the Diamond Cinder Cone and admired the views down into Snow Canyon. We then returned to the vehicle and drove into Snow Canyon itself.

Babbling Becky's Be Bellowing By Bouncing onto Bottom
Let me tell you a story about my second ascent of this cone. Yes you heard me, this is worthy of two summits. (The views are unreal of Snow Canyon, feels like you can touch it.) Anyhow the story, I once took a young lady from Indiana to the tops of this Cinder Cone to give her an appreciation of the surrounding topography. Naturally she somehow found a way to talk to the very top. I was hoping it might give me some reprieve from her onslaught of verbal violence. She made it to the top and didn't reply with any type of wow by the gorgeous views, instead she kept talking about herself. The Cinder to repay her pulled the rocks from out from under her coming off the top of the cone and landed her right on her rear end. She was not happy about falling, but the Cinder Cone was very proud. So the point of the matter is that if you have that house guest that won't shut up, take them to the top and let the Cinder Cone work its magic.

Sit Down and Have a Nap
We had to heat up on the Cindercone after the freezing waters of Pine Creek. This is a fun little hike that will make you sweat for a few minutes and give you great views of Snow Canyon. Take the babies up for a fun hike and then out to DQ after for a reward. You can't go wrong with the hot rocks and the cool treats combo.

Fun little jaunt!
Hit this after doing Pine Creek in Zion the day before. Just needed to get some sunshine and science in us before heading back north to Salt Lake. Gorgeous views of Snow Canyon... maybe my favorite!
