The southwest slopes of Dickey Peak are lined the fault scars that were created in 1983 when a 7.3 magnitude earthquake rose the entire Lost River Range roughly 7 feet.
Yes, it was quite the event, it was one of the stronger earthquakes to hit the US in the past 50 years but due to its remote location, luckily only 2 people died. The easiest place to view the escarpment is driving to the Borah TH. Thanks for the vote.
