Distant mountains - view from Tambopaxi

Tambopaxi is a lodge in Cotopaxi NP and a convenient base to climb the mountain. In fact, we had decided to skip spending a (short) night at the refuge altogether. Instead, today we would eat and rest at Tambopaxi. Later, we would drive up to the parking lot and start our summit attempt from there. That adds some time, but I figured, sleeping at Tambopaxi will be much easier than in the refuge, and the food is excellent at Tambopaxi too. On the other hand, Tambopaxi is about 1000 m lower, so for acclimatization purposes, that's not as good as the refuge.
