Diving Board - The suggested place to leave the trail

Just across this bridge the trail turns to the right. That's where you can leave the trail and head straight up between the gap between Liberty Cap and Mt. Broderick. However, if you want to stay on the trail a bit longer, there's a use trail closer to Nevada falls that will bypass the bottom part of this canyon. The use trail leads all the way to the top of the steep part of the canyon and is likely much easier than starting from the bottom. There isn't any scrambling.
