Thanks for your kind comments Sergey. I'm glad you liked my TR. Indeed I enjoyed climbing this mountain very much. And the region is so beautiful. Your Dombaj-Ul’gen-page helped us alot when we planned the trip.
My father and I are from Cape Town in South Africa and planning to climb the same route in early August this year. Sergey is already helping me allot with information and beta. It so good to see how helping the whole mountaineering community is.
I did not see Dombay under the routes of mountainguide.ru. anymore, but Andre's link took me directly to a website called mountain guides.pro. Could this perhaps be a different website?
Hi Jaco! Nice to see you have found this very special, exciting and remote mountains in this beautiful region of the world. I definitely recommend you to go there and climb. https://mountainguides.pro/ is the site and you should PM Sergey Baranov. He helped us to arrange it all. I guess they do not have Dombay in their programme as it is not that popular than Elbrus and Kazbek. If you check https://mountainguides.pro/guides/ you’ll find our great guide Aleksandr Eliseev. Let me know if you need more info! All the best!
Reinhold Messner on the third tier of mountaineering
To me, this talk by Messner in 2012 links beautifully with reinventing places like the Caucasus in order to have real and strong experiences : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mswqi913G1c Even for the general and less extreme mountaineer

Congratulations Andre!I had wondered what you had been getting up to. Not quite so high as usual, but a bit steeper!
Good luck in whatever you plan next!
