Hiked up from Sieur de Monts visitor center. So many interconnecting paths in this park, even though it's kinda small. Nice day and decent views
I did the traverse over from Cadillac Mountain. It was sunset and the view was really pretty.
3rd peak of the day after hitting the Beehive and Champlain. We then went on to Cadillac and finished at Bubbles Pond where we let the bus take us back to our campsite.
Repeatedly. One of the great things about Acadia is the scale of the place -- it's easy enough to hike right across MDI's tops in a single day. Always a joy -- such lovely rock...
Great hike with outstanding views.
part of a long day of hiking with my brother.
what an awesome trail! Did a loop...up Dorr via Ladder, down to the gorge, up Cadallic, down to bubble pond, up Pemetic, down to the pond trail to the cannon brook trail...back to the car. AWESOME day
Up the Ladder Trail, then up to Cadillac, then down the South Ridge trail and the Canon Brook trail.
Cadillac without the crowds and traffic!
I was so excited to be at the park that after I climbed Mount Champlain, I hiked up Dorr Mountain in the rain. No views of course.
Did Otter Cliff, Thunder Hole, Beehive, Champlain Mountain, Huguenot Head, Dorr Mountain and Cadillac Mountain from Blackwoods Campground and back. The march down Cadillac's southern ridge was the highlight of the day. Speechless.
Went up Cadillac, down in the gorge, around to the Tarn, up Dorr and back down into the gorge and out.
Great way to spend a day - only takes about 8 hours to do the whole thing and once you're off Cadillac there is no one around.
Recommend Dorr over Cadillac if you have to pick just one.
