Re: Sure...

Su'pose be some nice weather here in da Pacific Northwest for the next 10 days or so. I'll just have to get after a few more larches. That way I can give y'all the Monday blues, or coppers in this case, a week from now.

Thanks for da vote. As you can see, the untilted shot won the election.

Re: "ray gun"???!!!

Indeed. I did use "ray gun" in a comment somewhere. I think it was with Mr. Bolton. And I was referring to digital cameras. I think it was in a Message Board post. My memory...fuzzy...fading...flushing...draining...sewage...dark...stinky...help!

Best photo of Dragontail

that I've seen. The trees add so much to the shot. Is this peak and the area roughly 3 hours from SeaTac? Looks like a destination to me.

Re: Best photo of Dragontail

Well, let's see, from the moment you got in a rental car at Sea-tac, if you started driving at regular posted highway speeds and then hiked the trail at approx. 2 miles an hour...let's see...could you get to this scene in 3 hours? Um...no.

But thanks for stopping, I mean driving, by.

Re: Best photo of Dragontail

Sorry, you must have understood, not 3 hours to the summit but to the trailhead.

Re: Best photo of Dragontail

It's about 130 miles from Sea-Tac to the trailhead then about 5 miles and about 3000' gain to the place this photo was taken.

I suppose if you were really speedy, you could get from airport to this spot in 5 hours, but traffic and other delays will make this take longer. 6-7 hours is more realistic.

Photo for sale?

Can I buy this photo from you? I would probably want to buy more than photo. I love your photography. The larches are peaking!

Re: Photo for sale?

That's kind of you to think this photo worthy of purchasing. I have to inform you that this picture doesn't exist as a digital photograph. It was taken way back when I had a celluloid camera. I have the negative and the print and the jpeg you see above.

If you are still interested in purchasing the photo I wouldn't even know where to begin to put a price on it. Perhaps a dollar per larch tree in the photo.

typo.

oops. "more than one photo". There is another shot I really like that is similar. Just a slightly different angle. This mountain is my favorite!
