Dreamer/Urban Bypass Route

Green Giant Buttress on the approach to the base of the climb Dreamer. Our route is shown in red, with yellow dots marking all the anchors on the route. Using a 70 meter rope, we linked up the first two pitches and pitch 4 and 5. Had to simul-climb about 50 feet of the first link-up. You can see a climber about 1/3rd of the way up the first pitch. This is the Dreamer Direct/Urban Bypass variation (5.10b). The Safe Sex variation goes up on the right of this route and links up with Dreamer at the top of the fourth pitch (5th yellow dot). The 10b section is the third pitch in this photo on the blank slab (which it very much is). 8-1-2007
