I have visiting and photographying this rock in this very hot and sunny sunday, the 26 of August 2007. It was very interesting, but extremely hard and savage, for the legs ... The slopes are excessively deep and steep, the vegetation is seeing like an amazonian landscape, the forest is very dens and dark, the nettles and the brambles are very big and dangerous, the site is almost unknown and the access to the top of the crags is very difficult to find ! But, we were having many recompenses, when we were arriving at the rock :
1) The height of the central cliff is atomic : ~ 51 meters (max).
2) The site is excellently good preserved, quiet and savage ...
3) The erosions structures are very picturesque to see ...
4) The climbing-roads on the rock are very hard, difficult !
5) The vegetation is beautiful, very various and savage ...
6) The panorama from the top is magnificient, spectacular !
7) The Dreifelsen is well good visible from the neary valley !
8) The name of this work is meaning legends and stories ...
In a few time, I will adding many of my personnal photos, that I has done on this rock ... You will have many big surprises ... But, for the moment, you still have to wait a little bit, as far as I has ending my work of corrections and classifications ... I promise you to add photos for the Dreifelsen, still in this new week ... So, be patient and good health to everybody Web-users and Summitpost's utilisators ! See you soon, as fast as possible. It will certainly be the same, for the neary Hornstein !
Le Dreifels (en) ? Ouais, ça fait très peu de temps que je le connais et que je l'ai visité en personne ! Bilan général assez mitigé ... D'un côté, l'endroit m'a excessivement impressionné, mais d'un autre côté, le site m'a fait réfléchir et m'a même mener jusqu'à renoncer à une chose importante (effectuer la montée au sommet ! ). Chose que je n'ai fort heureusement pas faite, car ma perspicacité et ma détermination à arriver malgré tout en haut des rochers, ont été payantes et concluantes ! L'endroit est excessivement sauvage et la hauteur du rocher central (le plus imposant des trois existants), est très impressionnante avec près de 50 mètres ! Un record local ... Néanmoins, cette bonne impression est vite gâchée, par l'abondance de la végétation et son pèle-mêle très rageant ! Fougères, ronces et orties, sont ici les reines de la situation et ont fini par tout contrôler et gouverner ! On étouffe ici ! Ca se voit que le Dreifels est très peu ou pas du tout fréquenté, avec des sentes d'accès aux bases très étroites ... C'est pourtant fort dommage, pour un site rocheux qui mériterait d'être bien mieux connu et surtout, entretenu et valorisé ... L'intérêt de visite des lieux est bel et bien réel, justifié ! Le panorama sommital est intéressant, malgré la vue un peu bâtarde et impropre, que l'on jouit sur la route B10 (trafic incessant et nuisances sonores très désagréables ! ). La végétation est au diapason, c'est-à-dire très riche et sauvage. Les érosions et autres structures éoliennes sont remarquables. Seul gros hic : l'absence de sentier d'accès digne de ce nom ! A quand alors, un réel programme de valorisation pour le Dreifels ???
