6.5h r/t from Marion Mt TH. Left PCT at 9600' and cross-country'd east uphill ~500' to rocky summit. (3860' vertical)
Other than losing my phone it was a great day.
Five peak day in this order:
Mt. St. Ellens (unofficial)
Shirley Peak (unofficial)
Joyce Peak (unofficial)
Newton Drury Peak
A group of 8 started from Marion Mountain TH on snow-covered trails and summited Marion Mountain (up to the base of the summit block), Shirley, Jean, Newton-Drury, Folly (only 2 hikers went all the way to the summit, not including me), and San Jacinto peaks.
six peak loop including miller, san j, folly, newton drury, marion, and jean.
Finished off the San Jacinto 10K' peaks with Drury. Dropped down from Jean to a small saddle, then up to summit. Enjoyed the easy blocks at top. Completed the Marion loop by heading down into Little Round Valley, then to Deer Springs & PCT, and finally to Marion TH.
An unremarkable peak. Tough climb up to Jean. With Cornell, Miller, San J, Folly, Jean, and Marion.
From the tram including Cornell, Miller, SJ, Folly, Drury, Jean, & Marion. The views here were better than I expected they would be after seeing the summit from the top of Folly.
Bryan and I climbed 6 peaks even though there was a foot of fresh powder. Cornell, Miller, San Jacinto, Folly, Newton Drury, and Jean.

Took my daughter, Paige, on her 4 ascent on a Cali mtn....along the way broke a tooth and got stuck in the eye socket by a branch. Never got the rain that threatened. Nice steep hike and beautiful white granite! Was thrilled again to have her reach a summit beside me.
Decent views, could see San Gorgonio to the north. Part of a 6 peak hike with a Sierra Club group.
Only once in the seventies, I don't believe I looked for a register.
Easy little peak to add on to the day.
Cross-country from Folly. Drury is not a pretty peak, but the views are there. Fourth peak of a loop hike that included Cornell, Miller, San Jacinto, Folly, Jean and Marion.
Hiked Cornell, Miller, San Jacinto, Folly, Drury, Jean and Marion. All are great summits, lots of 3 class and summit blocks. Here are my GPS tracks and photos.
Class 1 scramble with almost no brush and easy class 2 summit. From the trail to Little Round Valley, I left the trail at about 10,300 feet and traversed to the saddle between Jean and Drury. 5 minute scramble from there and returned to Little Round Valley.
climbed at night, required crampons above the snowline, also hit SJ, marion, drury, folly, jean before dawn.
First attempted it on the Way back from Marion Mountain but got fed up fighting the bushes and returned to the trail junction between San Jacinto and Jean. Took the Marion Mountain trail down to 10200 and cut across. Much easier that way.
