Re: Nice! This particular route, or the whole day? Both were totally awesome. We ended up setting up two top-ropes, one for the whole falls, and one with this direct dry tool appraoch. All of that drytooling at home and in the gym paid off, it was brilliant and almost felt more comfortable than being on ice!!

Sweet! This was my 1st year climbing (trying) mixed! Very hard but extremely rewarding. Makes me want mono points. Great, more gear =)

Re: Sweet!Mono's are the way to go, they are definately a little more specialized but I love them for mixed. They work equally well on ice and it is nice when you can pivot on a single point and do stuff like drop-knees. I hope to get better and try some hard stuff at Vail eventually. Plus, more gear = :)

Re: Sweet!Love em! Makes doing a figure 4 or 9 a little harder, but I don't do that too much! Works great for stemming, or mantling at the top of climbs. I think they are great for mixed especially.
