Thanks for the vote, Matthew. Be sure and get hold of me before you head this way - I've got a ton of recommendations that won't let you down. One of them, Muddy Peak, I expect to have a page up on by early next week. Like Moapa, it's another desert classic.

I don't make it to California much anymore, but it looks like good stuff to me.

Hey, we are sponsors of the "Eagle" brotherhood.

Here is the one I'm talking about - Eagle (Modoc) So let me welcome you to the one true brotherhood, the Eagle one.

Another nice page and another for me to chase down. Say, what is the scoop on Telescope this time of the year (especially with all the snow), would it be doable? I'm not heading to Arizona this weekend, but will in a month. Have fun on Muddy.

Glad to be a member - I've heard of that Eagle Peak before, actually.

Telescope Peak is done quite frequent as a winter climb, though I've never done it myself. The access is good year-round, and rather than follow the usual trail route, most doing the peak in winter head straight up the north slopes of Rogers Peak and then follow the ridge south up and over or around Bennett Peak and then on to Telescope. Cornices (perhaps on the final ridge to Telescope's summit) and the occasional avalanche-prone slope (north side of Rogers and the NE slope of Telescope) should be expected. Again, though, I've never done it in winter, so my info is educated guess-work and some third party.

Sorry you won't be making AZ this weekend.

I'll be putting up a Muddy Peak page early next week. It's a great one.

Be sure and look me up next month.

(By the way, I'm still hoping to add more pics to this page)

How did I miss this???

Was in Vegas in mid-April and looking for peaks below the snow line. You sent me some info, I'll have to back and see if I brushed this one off or not. Looks very worth while. Next time I'll hit this one. NICE PAGE!

You and Brian Hughes suggested Eagle, my mistake:(

Re: How did I miss this???

There's always next time. Eagle is a very, very enjoyable desert peak.
