Fun and Relaxing
Janet and I had a relaxing easy trip up Winchell with a camp in Sam Mack Mdw for one night. Great route, not sure why everyone bitches about the moraine, I think it's interesting like a puzzle. East arete, more like half chute/half wall, was a terrific route with easy route-finding and wonderful Class 3+ moves near the top. Outstanding views, of course!
Climbed with my friend Leif but he decided not to do the final exposed bit near the summit. Beautiful view on top!

Fun scramble!
Dayhike day #6 for Sierra Challenge. Round trip hike/scramble 9hrs. Great class 3 scrambling along the entire arete, with greater difficulty and exposure near the top. The views of Agassiz and Thunderbolt were wonderful!
