Not so bad. I think climbing 3rd class in any conditions is a must to be an alpinist in washington while avoiding epics.

eh. "Worse?" Certainly no harder, but it's definitely not the Sierra. Beckey calls the whole thing from the summit "3rd and 4th class," but I'm pretty sure all of the 4th class is in the section that's most commonly rappelled.

yeah, was wet, cold, and made you focus. I thought it was actually kind of fun. Views of Buckner blowing in and out, following the well-worn descent I'd done several times before, and way above the North Cascades brush where true misery lies.
