Fun scrambles
Did this with Osceola from the Osceola trailhead on a gorgeous sunny day. Loved the scrambles! Which got to do both up and down since I was doing an out and back. 4/48

No views but fun
No views on top. But worth tagging for fun scrambles and added challenge. This was training for bigger things this summer so appreciated

4000 footer #8!
This is actually a bit tougher to reach than Mt. Osceola... as it's steeper and rockier/less smooth terrain reaching this summit. East Osceola is completely forested so it doesn't offer much for views, but hey... it's another 4000 footer!

Great late fall hike in the snow
I did a morning out and back from the Kanc on a day that I thought would just be rain, but it was actually no rain and just snow in the summits. There was only about 2" of snow but the rain from the day before had frozen overnight and made the rocks quite treacherous so I ended up putting on my Microspikes about 2/3 of the way up and it made all the difference. The open slide area between the knob and the summit was hard with the ice and light snow but the rest was just a one foot over the other slog up the mountain. No views at all I was totally in the clouds with 23MPH winds picking up all the light snow and blowing it around.

Avoided the "chimney," and opted to for the easier path from Osceola. Great day of hiking

1st spruce grouse
Nice trail from Osceola to E. Osceaola. A spruce grouse was spotted just before reaching "the chimney". Also met LadyGray at the top of chimney, the best conversation on my hikes in the Whites. Bagged the little fella, then back to trailhead where a momma bear and cub tracks surrounded the tipped over trash recepticle.

in tandem with Osceola
Popped over from the top of Osceola itself to bag this one. Views were minimal but the rock chimney between the two made it worth it, even while wet.

East Osceola
Climbed with Osceola via the Mount Osceola Trail from Tripoli Road. Not much in the way of views from the east peak. It began to cloud up during the traverse back to Osceola but were able to avoid late afternoon rain.

With Mt Osceola, I climbed this one. Despite the drizzle/rain and no view, it was still good.

Another wet, cloudy day. Great day for peak bagging!
From Greeley Ponds Trail. Went a little heavy with most of my winter gear except snowshoes, just for training. Trail was harder than I bargained for, I had planned to continue to Osceola but decided to skip it in order to save daylight.
