First climbed with NRMs`. Climbed and skiid SE ridge April 30 2003. A steep, long hike, and a beautiful summit.
Climbed with the New Rocky Mountaineers 2 weeks before going in for knee surgery! Nice snow field at the top.
Late season climb. We camped part way up and spent all the next day climbing Peak X, Y and East St Mary's. Fresh snow and rime on the uppermost part of the mountains.
First tried the peak a month earlier, on July 6th, but turned around just before the final pitch due to huge amounts of snow on the ridge leading to the summit, plus a strong and cold wind. A month later the weather was perfect! Nice day, but it's a big mountain, and the first couple miles are steep!
Saw something on this mountain I've never seen before. There is no summit log, but there are flat rocks scattered around the mountain top that are extremely soft (I have no idea what they are), and in the past people have scratched their names/dates into those rocks with some kind of sharp instrument (maybe a nail?). Quite the concept: there's this lonely summit with names written in stone on it!
