Eldorado Peak in Winter

Eldorado Peak in Winter

When looking out East Eldorado Peak was like a glowing giant and had an amazing blue color on the face, the cloud cover castes an amazing mountain atmosphere. When I saw this moment I said a loud "Oh my, What a beautiful World!". This was taken from Hidden Lake Peaks on December 6, 2009 which this is looking at Eldorado's impressive West Face.

Abs. Pristine

Got to love winter in the cascades. What a great angle on a fine peak.

Re: Abs. Pristine

Thanks Andret! You have an amazing collection yourself. Now if only winter time had more sunny days it would be the best season!

That's fantastic! What is the scale we're looking at? Somehow it looks very close, but maybe that's just the crispy winter air.

Re: Whoa

Thanks Rick. The summit is approximately 3.4 miles (5.5km) away. So while it has some distance, it still feels very dramatic to see this large mountain. The air was very crisp.
