Bigger photo?

Too bad you don't have a larger photo to upload. This doesn't come out very well, nor does it show how impressive the Elk is.

Re: Bigger photo?

The photo size is as big as I could find on the web. All photo's distributed by the press are this size or smaller so they fit well into their articles.

Re: I see photos like this and think....

Yes, I don't hunt but I'm not opposed to hunting. But, when something gets to be this size, couldn't we just admire for awhile? Apparently, it was seen by many hunters but out foxed them for a few years being very nocturnal. Hunters would only get a glimpse at sunset...then it disappeared. You know, even in a Spain bullfight, the bull would be set free if it could out smart the guy with the red cape.
Hiking with my kids while I could hear antlers crashing on brush was a bit disturbing...all I could visualize was this picture. I was wishing I had my bear spray or my 357, both I forgot to pack.

bummer

I used to hunt, but lost my interest. It seems like a lot of people establish self-worth by killing animals. Personally, I don't ascribe any worth to anyone by what they killed.
