Blueberry Hill Minnesota  Sucess!

The BWCA is not known for climbing. This is one of the few areas MN to consider. Rated a hard climb but less than 3 miles out and back. Good parking at the trailhead. Summit has views of several lakes in the natiomal wilderness area

Short winter walk in the woods.  Sucess!

Out getting a little exercise while spending the weekend in Duluth. Nice day with temps in the 30's.

No Walk in the Park  Sucess!

Thought this would be easy, even on a snowy Winter day, because it was in a 'city park'. Nope. It would have been easier had I read these directions, which I printed out but failed to refer to. I parked in the 'climbers lot' rather than the Superior Hiking Trail lot. Ended up taking the old rail grade to the west end of the tunnel, and went up from there. Totally confused by now, I went to the peak to the west before finding my way to the SHT and up Ely. Fun winter experience for me.

Ely's Peak  Sucess!

Quick hike up with my best friend while enjoying a perfect Duluth day, followed by margaritas and the lake walk.

100k race  Sucess!

I ran over it not once but twice during the Wild Duluth 100k race I ran in October 2010. Mile 22 and 43 or thereabouts.

Nice hike  Sucess!

I've been up twice. Once from each direction on the Superior Hiking Trail.
