Started from the far end of the parking lot. This hike was more of an off trail scramble. Hit Little Rock, Enchanted Rock,Turkey Peak, Freshman mountain, and Buzzard"s Roost. DId alot of very low angle slab climbing and bouldering and rock hopping. It was mostly overcast during the day. Hope to come back soon, during my stay in Austin for some roped climbs.
Great views of the hill country and solid granite climbing. There is also a small cave near the top if you can locate it - nothing spectucular really just some crawling around in granite fissures if memory serves. I also believe there is a plaque on the way up to signify the location of an old gunfight between the military and local Native Americans. Top it off with a Shiner Bock in Fredicksburg.

Kim and I did this walk with my parents. Some interesting views (for Texas) and very clean pink granite. When I was in college at Rice, a lot of people would climb here.
First climbed E-Rock on my dad's shoulders when I was about 2 years old. Several years later, I cut my teeth on the many climbs on the backside of the main dome. Just today, I summitted with my 1.5 year old on my shoulders.
