Endangered Species

Small's stonecrop (Diamorpha smallii) is an endangered species found only in vernal pools -- "puddles" -- on granitic outcrops in the Southeastern US. It's the little white flowers. Pretty, no?

You're welcome ...

This is an interesting place, not challenging or particularly high, but the expanse of rock is amazing -- hundreds of acres! Around the back side, there are big blocks of granite in various stages of finishing and polishing for comparison. Really nice way to spend a chilly winter afternoon.
