Entrance of Baradla cave

The Baradla cave system (in Aggtelek Karst National Park) is the most well known cave of Hungary, with a smaller part lying on the territory of Slovakia (Slovak Karst National Park). Its total length is over 25 km long, featuring a multitude of stalactite and stalagmite forms, and a number of huge halls. The cave has several entrances, the one on the pisture is located by Aggtelek village. It is a natural opening in the limestone crag, and has already been known by the ancient man, as archeological artifacts prove. UNESCO World Heritage site since 1995. (Aggtelek Karst, 25. Sep. 2011.)
