"So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life."

GorgeousBeen up it twice by different routes. Amazing on a clear day, be careful of the winds though, almost no shelter.

Route Climbed: Tourist RouteUp the regular 'tourist' route throug mud that puts many New England trails shame. In and out of the fog all day, but blessed with views high on the ridge and some fleeting ones at the summit.
Descended the normal route and climbed Mackoght in total (and very dense) fog. All and all - an excellent day out.

Route Climbed: Normal Route Date Climbed: 29th October 2005Started well into the day so took the escalator. Up top had the strongest winds I've ever been out in. Not quite the pick you up and fire you off but well past the blow you over variety though. Great fun!!!

Route Climbed: North Ridge Date Climbed: August 8th 2005Climbed up the North Ridge route (or some variation thereof) and down the tourist route and hiked as far as Muckish (I didn't climb Muckish due to time constraints). A great day out in perfect weather.

Route Climbed: North Ridge Route Date Climbed: August 1, 2005Went up the ridge, down the tourist route and up Mackoigt. Cloudy all day until I left (of course). Met a hiker on top and got a ride back to my car.
I had complete solitude on my route; the only other soul I saw was a farmer cutting peat. Compare this to the 40-50 individuals that went up the normal path.
