From the Longs Peak TH  Sucess!

Struggled with trail conditions on this one. Wind blowing so hard (80ish maybe) that we dared not try to stand on the summit. Tough day for this old dude. May have to go back when conditions are kinder.

Longs Peak Trailhead  Sucess!

Another nice hike with my wife. The weather was better than forecasted and the trail was fairly snow free. We enjoyed some scrambling around near the summit and good views of Longs when the clouds broke.

Late season snow  Sucess!

Surprising amount of snow for the area. Postholed quite a ways, but nice views from the top made it worth it.

Whew!!  Sucess!

This was my first hike at altidude after having my first baby in April! My butt was whooped but it was so wonderful to see the beautiful Mummy Range and Long's Peak. I am slowing getting my mountain legs back!

From Longs Peak Trailhead  Sucess!

The day was overcast and really never cleared up to reveal the brilliant blue skies I love, but I really enjoyed this hike. The scramble finish was a pleasant surprise - very pretty summit area with fantastic views!

Good times  Sucess!

Made it up just before sunset on a cold day in February 2006. I remember that I should have brought a pair of snowshoes (lots of postholing without snowshoes). I also remember banging my knee cap on a large rock at the summit, and then writhing in pain for a few minutes until the pain subsided. If anyone was at Chasm Lake that afternoon, they probably heard me.

Other than that, a great little hike with a spectacular view of Longs and RMNP!

From Longs Peak Trailhead  Sucess!

Snowshoed from Longs Peak TH. Wonderful hike through a very nice forest. Great views from the summit. One of my favorite "small peak" hikes in The Park.
