Evening Light on Three Fingers
I look out the window from my house and see the glowing lights on the mountains, I am instantly filled with excitement. I run in my room to grab my camera, put on my shoes and dash out the door. As I'm running my neighbor asks me "What's the Big Rush?" which I yell back "I'm in a hurry for photography time". Unfortunately where I live there are many power lines which make mountain photography difficult. Fortunately there is a spot perfect for capturing views of Three Fingers which I now see glowing with wild lights. I stop and try to capture the scene as best as I could. I could see that the clouds all around were shifting which meant at any moment they could cover up the mountain, so timing was everything. "Don't stop Shooting" I whisper to myself as I try to have steady hands when out of breath and zooming in to the landscape. This photo was taken March 17, 2011 from the city of Lynnwood, Washington during a great scenic moment on Three Fingers Mountain. As I had predicted, a few minutes after this photo was taken clouds came rushing over covering the mountain, until at last the view was gone. I gave one last smile over to Three Fingers knowing that at least I enjoyed the moment of great scenery, no matter how far away it was.
