Ewe & Me

This Bighorn Ewe wandered to within 15 feet of us while on the summit of Mount Breitenbach. By far the closest I've ever been to a bighorn, very cool. Here's another shot of her.

Technical question

How did you get your co-star to pose so well?

Re: Technical question

Sorry, can't tell you. There have been more and more big game hunters joining SP lately, and I don't want them to know the secret of how to coax them in…

Actually, the ewe was just really curious about what we were doing up there in her territory, and she just walked right up to us. Very cool experience.

Re: Technical question

Sometimes the fairy godmother strikes! I did flush a ewe just ne of Degarmo Notch (Hart Mt.)in the eighties, but she vanished so quickly it seemed almost supernatural.

Why was...

Why was ewe so far away? (ok, bad joke)

Nice profile

Good colour and dept of perception, with the two mountains ridges.

Re: Nice profile

Thanks Marlon. I set up the camera, and Geo took the shot. It came out pretty well in my opinion.

Don't tell the Elves...

Is it OK to vote on it (3-1/2 years later), if I took the picture? :-)

Re: Don't tell the Elves...

Hmmm, not sure what the official ruling would be. I'm thinking the statute of limitations has probably expired... (But you never know.)
