Fagaras Citadel

Situated in the heart of Romania, Cetatea Făgărașului (RO) represents one of the Eastern Europe´s largest and best preserved feudal castle complexes. This intact fortification from medieval Transylvania began to take shape in 1310. It has three floors, five towers and two parallel walls creating a barrier 8 m thick.
