Started a little late, fourth summit of Mummy Mania. We only got 5 done as a nasty storm chased us off Hagues at the last minute.
Fourth peak of the Mummy Mania tour. It is very reasonable to keep the traverse from Ypsilon at Class 2, but there is a TON of boulder hopping. The highlight was looking at Desolation Peaks and the Hagues Creek drainage.
Total ascents = 3. Twice from Lawn Lake Trailhead, once on the a variation of the "Mummy Mania" traverse.
We were going to climb Fairchild and Hagues. We summited Fairchild and made it back to the saddle at the time the dark clouds we saw forming to the west moved in. We high-tailed it back down, but not without getting drenched.
Peak #4 of our Mummy Mania traverse. Did this with pksander. Long, but fun day.
Part of the Mummy Mania traverse completed with Chris Gerber. A very, very long day. See my trip report for more...
Climbed Fairchild as part of the Mummy Mania traverse and it was probably the hardest peak as the snowfields and talus were annoying.
Staying closer to Fairchild's southwest ridge added a little scrambling to this section of the Mania. Lots of fun with a cool summit shelter, too!
This was our fourth summit on a long day of Mummy Mania.
Hiked Mummy Mania with Erin, Ryan, Andy, and John yesterday. We had beautiful weather and a great hike.
Nice rock climing on the traverse from Ypsilon - one of the nicer Mummy mountains. Fun climbing.
With the Colo State Univ Mtneers. Cold and snowy
Nice summit in the heart of the Mummy Range. Great views all around.
Bitterly cold on top! 75 in Estes.......25 on the summit.....BIG difference. Saw a lot of wildlife..Bobcat, Bighorn, Elk, Mule Deer, etc...
Wonderful day spent on a wonderful mountain!
