Fall colors in July on Logan

I encountered Blueberries already in full red fall color on Logan near the end of July. There were several patches like this and I suspect drought was the culprit. The same day several historic wildfires exploded in size across the state, one of them clearly visible only a few miles away from our position on Logan's summit. The hot dry air on our return had me anxiously looking over my shoulder at every crackling sound from the trees above, somewhat expecting a fire-y doom.
