Fawn Lake

Overview

These are pictures of Fawn Lake, Mallard Lake, and Skyland Lake in the Mallard Larkins Wilderness area.

When to Climb

Usually summer around late July and August are the best times. I have been in there as late as September but in that time there is a great chance of very cold weather, sometimes snow.

Camping

This place is a great and fun place to camp. There are however many things to consider. Be sure you always have food because sometime the fish don't bite like expected. Be prepared for cold nights and mosquitoes. I strongly advise carrying a gun, I have encountered a grizzly and seen 5 wolves on my last trip.
