First Glimpses of the West

First Glimpses of the West

Page Type Page Type: Album
Additional Information Image Type(s): Scenery
In September of 1973 my wife and I took a five week vacation to tour the West. We started in NJ and visited - Rocky Mtn. NP, Grand Teton & Yellowstone NP, Craters of the Moon NM, Crater Lake NP, Redwoods NP, Yosemite NP, Kings Canyon & Sequoia NP, Petrified Forest NP, Grand Canyon NP and Zion NP. These images were taken with whatever camera we had at the time, which was probably an Instamatic. They're not great, but some them ain't too bad.
The original slides were scanned using an Epson V500 scanner.

Hey Bill ...

That water slide looks like one hell of a lot of fun!

Merry Christmas to you and Lynda!

Re: Hey Bill ...

Thanks, Bill. Actually, I took another look at the photo of
Lynda enjoying the water, and it's refreshing to see a person
expressing that much joy. We need to see more of that on SP !!!

Re: Hey Bill ...

That was shear terror, Larry, not joy. I'm trying to get Lynda to accompany me into the Winds, where I know of another slide. Perhaps we can make it happen again and if we can, I'll have the camera at the ready!
