Note the orange rock near the shore at right center (visible in the large-size image). That's molten rock. If you're in this position at the right time, it's the first view one gets of real lava before it gets fully dark. The white dots at left is the "fence" barring closer access to the plume area. Fortunately lava is (currently) oozing around on the surface slightly inland of the fence. March 8, 2007.
