Beautiful forest pix

Interesting that this is just beech-In our woods the beech is often mixed with sugar maple.

Thank You Mark! What you see on this photo is so typical for Velebit. Enormous beech forests are one of its trademarks and they are so beautiful and clean. Beech forests here are also mixed with maple, on spots, but on the seaboard side of the mountain. This is continental side where if it is mixed it is with spruce and fir.
