Fishhook Arete

Fishhook Arete

Beginning the lead of P6 of Fishhook Arete (~5.8). Pitch starts with some intermittent hand cracks and then enters what Supertopo calls a "5.8 chimney" (just out of view above my position). In fact, not one chimney move is required as there's a great handcrack (#2-#3 Camalot) in the the chimney (June 19, 2005).

Inspiring Series

Good camera weather despite or because of the cold. Did you see "Star Trekkin"?

Re: Inspiring Series

Thank you for visiting.

I think Star Trekkin is to the left of this route around the corner forming Mithral Dihedral (III 5.9......our intended choice unfortunately shady and even colder then Fishhook).......I believe Mithral and Star share the first 1.5 pitches off the deck. I think the crux lower pitches of Star are not visible from FA.
