Fletcher Moutain East Face Couloirs

Fletcher Moutain East Face Couloirs

Overview of the east face of Fletcher Moutain, the "Y" couloir in the center is a great choice, aesthetic and easier than its neighbor it maxes out at about 42 degrees and finishes 15 feet from the summit. There is a constriction to maybe 6 feet wide at one point that can melt out early. The couloir immediately to its left left sometimes is guarded by a cornice and is a little steeper, probably mid to upper 40s. Photo taken June 2011 (which was a high snow year).
