I remember this

Although I have yet to climb Black Peak, I was close to this lake after climbing Golden Horn when doing a hike in the area. Nice photo Gimpilator.

Thanks Eric! You know, I waded out and got onto the smaller bit of ice. Then I threw that rock to determine if the bigger sheet was stable. Eventually I decided against it.

photo,but icebergs should be in quotes, I think! (Technically I believe that requires a glacier calving into the water.:-)

Also, icebergs are always larger beneath the
water than above the water.

Floating ice is a good choice of words, and reminds me of
the 1989 song by "VANILLA ICE .."
