From the intersection, start walking up Forest Road 543, also known as Radar Station Road. Brushy Mountain’s big white radar dome is visible above you. The road circles around to the other side of the mountain and eventually climbs all the way to the top at a gentle grade. However, some people may want to take a shortcut and head straight for the top rather than circle around.
Hiking Distance: About 6 miles round trip from the intersection.
Elevation Gain: About 1,100’.
