There are people

Who show dignity with this thing called life, even when given the short straw.... How he lived is worth remembering

Re: :(

Hi Cissa, You are one of the few SP members who knew him personally. I can see that it must be more difficult for you than the rest of us. May be watching some of his YouTube videos help take the edge off, I know it does for me.

Wishing him back ...

"Parofes" brought so much joy to SP,
and the man will definitely be missed!

He processed a "sense of humor" that sadly
appears to be going out-of-style these days.

Re: Wishing him back ...

Thank you Larry. We all wish him back and as to his sense of humor, you have hit the nail right on the head.

BTW, we miss your sense humor lately as well.

Thanks so much, Marc!!!!!

A wonderful photo of Paulo as a 10-year-old boy, and it makes me so happy to see and also read in all of the comments that he is remembered and alive in everybody's hearts! I certainly have not forgotten him, and I miss him a lot!!

Re: Thanks so much, Marc!!!!!

Thank you so much for the heartfelt comments, Eric. As it turns out Summitpost and its membership meant a lot more to Paulo than I had realized. That fact became abundantly clear to me only after he reached out to me to write the article. Lili told me that Paulo spent time on Summitpost with pleasure, and it made him happy. By posting this photo, I wanted to bring back a bit of recent history and to reenergize Summitpost. I am happy to see that this effort hasn't gone to waste.

Re: Thanks so much, Marc!!!!!

Re-energize SummitPost...Yes, I fully agree with you, Marc. It may be just my subjective opinion, but I have often the feeling that some of the enthusiasm I saw in previous years - in general, not just in relation to comments or votes on my pics!! - has gone lost...I believe that the years 2006 and 2007 were something of an enthusiastical climax on SP, and since then it has slowly declined, despite there still being lots of excellent people on the site and outstanding posts to be seen...Paulo was one of SP's real motors, through his personality, his vitality and of course his very professional scrutiny...But I am touched to see how we all are standing together in memory of the great friend Paulo was - and still is - to us all...

Words...

...are not enough to thank you, Marc, for all you do to remind Paulo and also for all of us, here, who want to continue to dream and to live as close as possible to the great spirit of our lost friend.

Re: Words...

Beautifully worded "to live as close as possible to the great spirit of our lost friend." Thank you for eloquence and wisdom that you have brought to this site, Silvia. May the mountains smile upon you for the rest of your precious life.
Grazie e Ciao
