DC Highpoint
Did this after Ebright Azimuth. Easy parking then wandered around the nice park. A little hard to find the actual point but not bad for a lower highpoint.

#1 Federal District Highpoint
I'm climbing the 50 Highpoints (#22 completed as of date) so I might as well do the Federal District while in the area to visit Arlington National Cemetery

Several bystanders inquired what I was looking for as I searched for the USGS brass marker. The western highpoints are a lot easier to find.

Christmas Day summit
Hiked from the neighborhood a few blocks away with Kate, Dana, & Trevor. I was very excited to find the marker and get some photos at the peak ;-)

We followed the directions on this site to get to the closed off fence area, operated by DOT, up the small hill near the school parking lot. I guess it's the HP of Wash DC, and we were there, just in case. You never know when DC will gain statehood?

1st highpoint
First high point! Went back a second time when I realized the marker was outside the fence. I recommend going over to Rock Creek once you are done for a nice hike.

I've climbed a number of county summit in California (where I live) but was here on business, so thought I'd get out and tag another HP. Did it in the middle of the night, so it was a bit of a challenge to find the benchmark, but I did find it eventually. Easy stroll up from the Tenleytown metro stop.
