Scrambled with South Ingalls
End of June 2000. From Ingalls Pass.
Love this one.
Went up wind loaded sugar from Headlight Basin on a beautiful Columbus day morning.
Started out at De Roux campground, made our way up Hawkins in a whiteout, then descended down to Gallagher Head Lake. Day two we tagged Fortune, Ingalls, and Not Hinkhouse. Lots of rime ice high up, great to get up there before the summer crowds!
Fortune is a nice peak. We came from Gallagher Head Lake and then came up the west ridge and traversed over to South Ingalls and Not Hinkhouse Peak afterward.
Fun, easy scrambling with excellent views of Stuart and Ingalls lake from the summit.
... just a week past larch season. Some were still out but past peak!!
