Route Climbed: Southwest Buttress
Came in solo to clear my mind before school started again. Great experience and recomended for everyone at least once in their life. Camped at some of the lakes to the west of Island Lake to avoid any signs of people. Worked great didn't see a single person for days even though I was near the immensly popular and gorgeous Titcomb Basin. Climbed to Indian Basin and then up the Buttress. Very fun scrambling, saw numerous marmonts. Hope to be able to come back and do Gannett someday.

Long and fun day
Car to car. Ascent via Indian Basin. Really fun scramble to the top. The descent to Mistake Lake did me in because somewhere along the way my ankle was given a good one. Long hike out. Climbed with gjagiels.

Titcomb Basin was amazing and the climb up Fremont unforgettable. Thanks to Paul Salisbury, Cliff Moser, Rob Schick and Dave Freeman for a fine adventure.
Route Climbed: Southwest Buttress Date Climbed: Early August 2005
Made our way up from the lower Titcomb Lake by way of Mistake Lake. A few cliffs to navigate around above Mistake Lake but nothing too difficult. Great views from the top with Gannet and the Grand Teton both visible.
Route Climbed: Southwest Buttress Date Climbed: July, 1993
Spent two days in bivy waiting on a nasty thunder storm and snow before heading for the summit. Got a bit freaked on the slab work as this was a free solo climb. Fantastic route and highly rec. it.
Route Climbed: Southwest buttress from Titcomb/Mistake Lake Date Climbed: August 30, 2005
Summited on a clear but very windy day as part of a four night backpack trip into Titcomb Basin. The views were amazing in all directions. I would recommend approaching from Indian Lakes Basin as the approach route from Mistake Lake that I took was much more difficult than what the Indian Lakes Basin approach looked like. Overall a great Rocky Mountain Class 3 scramble!
Route Climbed: Soutwest Buttress Date Climbed: July 2001
Serge Ray and I climbed this fun route, a very easy scramble, but in a nice alpine area that doesn't see that many crowds. Playful marmots put on a nice show for us.
