Aaaaaaaaaaah! After being completely stunned and overwhelmed from this view of Mt. Rainier from First Mother Mountain, I said nothing!
After stumbling back down to my vehicle at Mowich Lake, I scribbled down the following words:
Maintaining sight of jagged horizons,
Celestial light illuuminates her face.
Her substance surpasses her environs.
Her image impregnates my inner-space.
Snowblind spectacle? Her eyes close
As my boots bounce upon her steep glacier.
Tall timber grows at the end of her toes...
Bringing life to the canvas of Nature.
The goshawk captures the prey of the day,
That lies beneath the silence of her snow.
I come here to toss my madness away...
As the seeds of my wisdom start to grow.
