From French Ridge looking up to Mt. Avalanche. Nov. 2004 Yeah, it ain't Aspiring but if you go via French Ridge to get to the Bonar this is a nice view of a dandy peak that is more difficult than the Aspiring Guide Book says it is to climb. Rhime ice and verglass on the rock ridge precluded any prudent attempt.

Climb it!

If you've got the inclination this peak is a fun climb. The SW face(the snow slopes just to the right of the summit on the above photo)is comparable to the SW ridge of Aspiring. The west ridge if it is not too snowed in is a straight forward scramble and makes a good decent route.
