Overview
Konj is Part of Rzenik-Konj ridge east from Kamniska Bistrica River north of Velika Planina.
Getting There
From Kamnik we take direction Kamniska Bistrica. All time we follow Kamniska Bistrica River. After 2 km from starting point to Velika Planina (ski region) it is on right side marked path to Orglice, Preseljaj, Konj and Korosica. It is enough place to park a car. From Ljubljana drive also a Bus in this valley.
Route Description
First part of path is almost for everyone. To waterfall Orglice path is very nice, without any dangerous parts, really family walk up for Sunday afternoon.
So most of people know only this part of way.
Crossroads to Presedljaj and Konj is about 10 minutes before we rich Orglice, but when You have time, take short brake and made a turnover to this nice waterfall.
To Orglice we need about 30 - 40 minutes
When You wish You can than go back to crossroad or You take also non marked part directly to south through the mountain stream. In a few minutes we rich marked path to Presedljaj.
Now almost all time the path is steep, but not difficult. From Orglice to saddle Presedljaj it take about 2 hours.
Saddle Presedljaj is also a point to direction Korsica, what isn’t our goal today. On Presedljaj (1623 m) we take a path direction south and we approach to Konj from northern side.
This part of path is much more difficult, it isn’t convenient for children, because of a few steep parts, protect with slope, but for this altitude (about 1.700 to 1.800 m o.s.l.) unusually pretending.
After 45 minutes from Presedljaj we rich a summit of Konj. Stamp of hill is some meters lower, but it is also on top enough place to take a rest after climbing.
